Batteries deteriorate with age. Most manufacturers recommend that they be replaced every 3 to 4 years.
Alarm batteries contain lead. Lead is a poisonous metal and MUST NOT be disposed into the normal waste systems.
When International Signal replaces your batteries, we will collect old batteries and return them to a recycle center for you.
Should you decide to replace your own batteries, please recycle them. Most towns have recycle drop-off centers.
